Standing Content Committees
Chapters may contact Standing Content Committees to get connected to resources or receive consultation on their projects. Committees can also help connect chapters to subject matter-specific mentors. Members with expertise in the subject areas listed below are welcome to join the appropriate committee.
The EWB-USA Energy Standing Content Committee (ESCC) is a group of energy experts dedicated to supporting energy-related projects within EWB-USA as well as collaborating with others working in international development. The ESCC does this by providing project coaching services, informal reviews or consultation, acting as mentors for energy-related projects, and developing guidelines, webinars and whitepapers. The ESCC regularly presents at EWB-USA national and regional conferences.
ESCC committee members have expertise in solar electric systems, small wind systems, microhydroelectric systems, solar thermal systems, solar water pumping, national electric codes, IEC codes and standards, load analysis and system sizing, community mobilization, strategic planning, utility interconnection practices and alternatives analysis.
The EWB-USA Impact Standing Content Committee (ISCC) is a group of experts who are interested in the intersection between effective community-driven development and engineering solutions. ISCC members have expertise in community-driven development approaches and are interested in integrating planning, monitoring, evaluation, and learning across EWB-USA programs. The goal of the ISCC is to develop guidance documents and other resources for EWB-USA members on the topic of increasing positive community impact.

The EWB-USA Project Management Standing Content Committee (PMSCC) is a group of subject matter experts dedicated to the support and collaboration of the project management process on all projects within EWB-USA, including both domestic and international projects. The goal of the PMSCC is to provide guidance documents, presentations and tools for EWB-USA chapters and members interested in maturing their project management skills.

The EWB-USA Sanitation Standing Content Committee (SSCC) is a group of sanitation experts who are dedicated to improving the success of all EWB-USA sanitation program. SSCC members have expertise in latrine design, decentralized sanitation treatment systems, SPHERE standards, community mobilization, and alternatives analysis. SSCC members also support the EWB-USA mission by crafting whitepapers and guidelines. SSSCC members regularly present at ASCE and EWB-USA conferences.

The EWB-USA Water Standing Content Committee (WSCC) is a group of subject matter experts dedicated to supporting water-related projects within EWB-USA as well as collaborating with others working in international development. The WSCC provides project educational services, informal reviews and consultations, acts as mentors for water projects and develops guidelines for use by chapters and members working on water supply projects. The WSCC also regularly presents at EWB-USA national and regional conferences.
