Timeline

Project Application (#501) Submitted to EWB-USA Week 0
Application Review Committee Reviews Application Week 2-6
Application Decision Week 6-8
Total Time 6-8 Weeks

Note: 
1) Once approved, projects without a chapter will be posted on the website for adoption by a chapter.  
2) Projects with a chapter can move on to the Project timeline below
3) Chapters without a project should look at the
open projects page

Process Description

Project is Approved and assigned to chapter Week 0
Chapter contacts community and starts fundraising. Week 0-3
(or longer)
Pre-Assessment Presentation (#507B, 605 & 608) to EWB-USA

Week 4
Assessment Plan is reviewed by EWB-USA & TAC Week 4-6
Assessment Trip Week 9-11
Assessment Report (#507C) to EWB-USA
(See 507 Project Design Compendium)
Week 15
Design Project using appropriate technology Week 15-20
(or longer)
Implementation Presentation (#507D, 605 & 608) to EWB-USA

Week 20
Present Implementation to TAC Week 22
Implementation Trip Week 28-31
Implementation Report (#507E) to EWB-USA

Week 36
Continuing Project Application (#501B) to EWB-USA Week 36-38




Ideal Project Timeline

Note: Implementation trips can be used as assessment trips for the next phase of the project.  Either adequate time must be scheduled to collect information or a second assesment should be planned.
