Dear Members and Friends,

Please accept this personal invitation to join us in Milwaukee, March 26 - 29, 2009, for our annual EWB-USA International Conference.

This year’s theme is Transformative Education:  Creating Opportunity For Knowledge.

Our intention for the conference is to present opportunities through idea-sharing, insight, and proven practices for creating and sharing a new era of global education. 

 

From the field to the classroom, EWB-USA is developing models for engaged global citizens to participate in education and knowledge transfer. 

Our Milwaukee Conference Committee, made up of representatives from our university chapters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Professional Partners, and the Great Lakes Regional Chapters, has been working hard to create an exciting and inspiring agenda.  We can promise you that our conference will be filled with dynamic speakers, compelling presentations, and panels and workshops that are relevant, thought-provoking, and educational.  Both day and evening events will afford opportunities to network and socialize.

This conference will bring together EWB-USA members, businesses, corporations, universities, trade associations, and other non-profit groups to connect on current and other important topics.  We will have scheduled time for you all to meet people and visit within the exhibits and displays.  

Please plan on joining us for a great welcome reception on Thursday evening, a special gala party at the Milwaukee Art Museum on Friday, and the very special awards banquet and party on Saturday!  With plenty of interaction you will find yourself re-energized and ready to continue with the transformative work of EWB-USA and our global partners.
