Nominate Individual Presenters From Your Chapter Now!
The EWB-USA International Conference Planning Committee is in the process of confirming speakers and presentations that directly relate to the conference theme: “Transformative Education: Creating Opportunity From Knowledge” for the March 26-29, 2009 EWB-USA International Conference in Milwaukee, WI.
As part of this process, we are looking for nominations and submissions from student and professional chapters for the following category:
- Presentations: Transforming Individuals (professional and student chapters)
- EWB-USA is looking for nominations of individuals who have been deeply transformed from their involvement in EWB-USA, and have passed this experience on to others by implementing novel initiatives, inspirations and projects within their chapters, local communities or universities.
- Please send all nominations and related questions to 09projpresWI@ewb-usa.org
- Presentations will be 3-5 minutes, and are presented at the awards banquet.
- Submission Criteria
- 200-500 word explanation of why the nominated candidate demonstrates the qualities of a transformed individual including a brief description of their transforming story, how they were affected and how they passed this experience on for others to learn from
- Name and contact information of nominee
- Name of the chapter
- Name and contact information of the nominating individual
- Deadline: January 23, 2009
Individuals selected to present at the 2009 EWB-USA International Conference will receive a $100.00 travel grant from EWB-USA
